Easton Aquatic Club took 32 swimmers to Hacketstown Tuesday and turned in another impressive performance against the Hurricanes' 55 athletes, producing a few relay victories, personal bests, and several swimmers who beat their seed times in a meet filled with close races.

EAC's strength was especially evident in the 11-12 girls and 13-14 age groups, where the team captured both combined age group titles. The girls 11-12 medley relay opened the meet with a convincing win, while the boys 13 and over medley relay and the men's 15 and over freestyle relay added relay victories later in the evening.

Several swimmers delivered standout performances by finishing ahead of expectations. Hugo Quinlan dropped two seconds in the 25 free to get his hand on the wall first, and Teagan Joujan dropped more than two seconds in the 25 breaststroke to score points. Sofiya Gaffney, Winston Robins, Wylie Maier, and Anna Chudolij each recorded individual victories helping EAC challenge the Hurricanes.

The Gators return to action Thursday against Greater Phillipsburg Swimming, then swim Saturday at the GPS Invitational. Families are reminded to declare their swimmers’ availability, sign up to volunteer.
