Strong Start to the Season for Easton Aquatic Club

Easton Aquatic Club kicked off the season with a great night at its first meet.

Our 29 swimmers faced a tough challenge against Two Rivers Swim Team, a team nearly twice our size. Despite the difference in numbers, EAC scored 128 points, setting a strong benchmark for the season ahead.

Seven rookies made their competitive debut and contributed nearly 9% of the team's total points. Of the 65 swims completed, every event was filled, thanks to the efforts of our marshals and coaches. Even more encouraging, swimmers recorded 43 new personal best times.

We did have a few disqualifications, mostly due to technical errors, and our coaches will be working to clean those up in the coming weeks. The biggest highlight of the night was that almost half of our swimmers earned qualifying times for the Penn Jersey Swim League Championship meet at the end of the season.

Congratulations to our high point scorers, Winston Robins and Violet Wieller, for leading the team with outstanding performances.

Next up, EAC travels to face Nazareth at Walters Park on Tuesday, where we'll look to build on the progress made in our season opener. If you haven't declared your swimmer for the meet, please do so tonight, and don't forget to sign up to help as a timer. Every volunteer makes a difference.
