Good Afternoon Swim Families,

Looking forward to getting out on deck and in the water tomorrow. This email will go over our schedule this first week as well as what you can expect.

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday we will be getting to know the swimmers and placing them in their practice groups. The placements are flexible and may change on the day based on the stroke focus or longer term based on coaches observations. 
• We WILL be getting in the pool. The weather hasn't been very warm so the pool temp is expected to be  cool please bring extra towels and warm clothes. Also the first day can always be a little hectic, swimmers can get overwhelmed by the environment, the cold water, the workout, the coaches, etc. Please remind your swimmers that first days can be tough but it will get more comfortable as they go along.
• Practice Attendance: we practice every Monday through Friday (barring bad weather/pool issue). We recognize that some families will be away on vacation during points in the season, have camps, or other obligations that have the swimmer miss time. We don't penalize for missed practices. We do hold that the more time in the water training the more your swimmer will get out of the program, so aside from those instances if we CAN be at practice we encourage your swimmer to make it. 
• Meet Attendance: A minimum of 4 Dual Meets (along with Qualifying Times) are required for Championship eligibility. ALL meets are open to sign up now for both swimmers and volunteers: Meets & Events. It is important to let us know if you will be attending or not attending a meet. Lineups for meets are set days in advance including relays and having an accurate list of who will be there helps us maximize opportunities for swimmers.
