Welcome an Welcome Back!

Good Afternoon All,

Welcome to the Easton Aquatic Club 2023 swim season !

I hope everybody is looking forward to getting started, Monday June 12th, at Heil Pool.

Practice Groups:

  • Swimmers will be moved into their initial practice groups today (Black, Red, White, Lil' Gators). Your practice groups will determine the swimmers you practice with, warm up with at meets, and what time and lanes you practice in.
  • The groups assigned today will be initial groups and are subject to change based on skill level and coaches discretion. The groups are aligned in order to maximize space, coaches and get everybody some more personal instruction.
  • For Monday:
    • Black: 9:30-10:15 (you will receive a separate email)
    • Red, White, Development: 10:30-11:30

Practice Equipment:

No equipment is needed beyond goggles and a ONE PIECE swimsuit, “jammers”, or “speedo” briefs (if you’re new and your swimmer doesn’t have a one piece, or just swim trunks that is okay for the first few practices but try to get one as soon as possible. If you need assistance please email me directly).

Volunteers:

  • Swim meets don’t/can’t run without volunteers. If you haven't already, please sign up to volunteer for the meets on the schedule.
  • Several positions require some online prep available here:  PJSL Officials. We WILL NEED OFFICIALS to run the meets. In the past our team family has been great about having volunteers and have never had to rely on another team’s officials to run a meet, we’d like to see that tradition continue.

Meets:

An important part of providing the best meet experience for all involved is letting the coaching staff know which meets you plan to be at and which ones you will not be at. Meet line ups are done in advance, if you have not declared for a meet you will not be entered into the lineup. Please follow instructions for entering meets here: How to declare for a meet

  • Dual meets: you will only need to accept or decline, coaches pick the lineup
  • Invitationals: you will see a list of events and need to pick which events you would like to swim.

Alerts:

Things change quick at an outdoor pool. If you haven't already please download the swimtopia app (your sign in is the same as the site), and follow us on social media:Facebook, Instagram, Twitter all “@eastonaquatic”

The coaches and I are looking forward to seeing all the new and returning faces.

See you next Monday!

Sincerely,

Coach Carlton
